How to Adjust a Single Appointment

Need to reschedule just one cleaning appointment? Learn how to change the date, time, or duration without affecting your recurring booking.

Written by Milan Geerling

Plans change, and that's completely okay. Whether something unexpected came up or you simply need a different cleaning time, you can easily request changes to one appointment without affecting the rest of your recurring booking.

Follow the steps below to reschedule a single appointment.

📅 Step 1: Open All Appointments

Log in to your Helpling account and open All Appointments.

From there, select Future Appointments to see your upcoming bookings.

🏠 Step 2: Choose the appointment you'd like to change

Browse your upcoming appointments and select the one you'd like to adjust.

🔄 Step 3: Tap Reschedule

At the bottom of the appointment details, tap Reschedule.

If you no longer need this appointment, you can also choose Cancel instead.

⚙️ Step 4: Update your appointment

You can now change:

  • 📅 Appointment date

  • 🕒 Start time

  • ⏱️ Cleaning duration

Once you've made your changes, review everything carefully before sending the request.

📤 Step 5: Send your request

When you're happy with your changes, submit the request to your service provider.

We recommend letting your service provider know about the change in advance, either through the message function in your Helpling account or by discussing it during your cleaning appointment. A quick conversation often makes scheduling much easier for both of you.

⏳ What happens next?

Your service provider will receive your request and can either:

  • ✅ Confirm the new appointment, or

  • ❌ Decline the requested changes.

We'll send you an email as soon as your request has been processed.

If your request is accepted, only this appointment will be updated. All future recurring appointments will remain unchanged.

💡 Good to know

Changing a single appointment only affects that specific clean.

If you'd like to update all future appointments in your recurring booking, please see How to Adjust Your Entire Recurring Booking instead.

Service providers are self-employed, so appointments on public holidays are possible. If your booking falls on a public holiday, we recommend contacting your service provider in advance to confirm their availability or arrange another date if needed.
