New to Helpling? Learn how to book your first cleaning appointment, choose your preferences, and get ready for your first visit.

Written by Milan Geerling

Booking your first cleaning through Helpling only takes a few steps. You can start directly from the Helpling website or app - there’s no need to create an account before beginning.

During the booking process, you’ll choose your cleaning preferences, enter your details, and submit a request to an available service provider.

🌐 Step 1: Start your booking

Open the Helpling website or app and enter your postcode.

This allows Helpling to show the cleaning options and available service providers in your area.

🔁 Step 2: Choose your booking frequency

Choose how often you would like your home cleaned.

You can select:

  • A recurring cleaning booking

  • A one-time cleaning appointment

A recurring booking is suitable if you would like regular help at home. A one-time appointment is a better option when you only need cleaning once.

📅 Step 3: Choose your date, time, and duration

Select the date and start time that work best for you.

You’ll also need to choose how long the appointment should last.

Not sure how much time to book? You can use the built-in calculator. Enter the size of your home in square metres, and it will suggest a suitable cleaning duration.

👤 Step 4: Choose how your service provider is selected

Depending on availability, you may be able to select preferred service providers based on details such as:

  • Customer ratings

  • Hourly rate or price

  • Previous cleaning experience

  • Number of homes cleaned

  • Availability

Service providers work independently and decide whether to accept each booking request.

If your preferred service provider does not accept your request, Helpling may automatically forward it to other suitable providers. This can increase your chances of finding someone for your chosen appointment.

If you do not want your request to be forwarded, turn off the automatic forwarding or automatic confirmation option before submitting it.

✅ Step 5: Enter your personal details

During the booking process, you’ll be asked to provide your contact details.

These may include:

  • Email address

  • Password

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Postcode

  • Phone number

You do not need to create an account before starting your booking. Your Helpling account is created as part of the booking process.

Once created, your account allows you to manage appointments, contact your service provider, and access booking details and invoices.

🏠 Step 6: Enter your address and billing details

Carefully check that your address information is correct.

You may need to enter:

  • The cleaning address

  • Your billing address, if different

  • Additional instructions that can help the service provider find or access your home

Accurate information helps prevent issues with access, appointments, and invoices.

💳 Step 7: Add your payment details

Add your preferred payment method to complete your booking request.

Your payment method will be stored securely in your Helpling account. Once the service provider confirms the completed appointment, an invoice is created and the payment is automatically charged to your saved payment method.

🔎 Step 8: Submit your request and wait for confirmation

Review your details and submit your booking request.

Your appointment is not confirmed until a service provider accepts it.

Once it has been accepted, you’ll be able to see the confirmed appointment details in your Helpling account.
